We hope that you will join us at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, in Baltimore, MD for 2024 PCCW Symposium, February 21-23! This year’s theme is: Inspiring through community, engagement, and lasting connections – Our Voices.
The event will begin on Wednesday, February 21 with meetings for Steering Committee members only. The Steering Committee consists of the PCCW Chair, PCCW Vice Chairs, Committee Chairs and Vice Chairs, and selected Members at Large. The Symposium will begin for ALL MEMBERS on the morning of February 22, 2024. Over the course of the Symposium, you will hear and learn from university faculty and staff, alumni, and your PCCW peers. You have the opportunity to network and socialize with one another, young alumni in the region, and former PCCW Grant recipients, and you will be invited to a behind the scenes tour of the historic Enoch Pratt Free Library, Central Library in downtown Baltimore.
We are looking forward to bringing this community together for networking, socializing, and learning opportunities. We hope that you will join us!

Raising women’s voices on how to feel understood, supported, and empowered in reaching goals professionally and personally.
Speaker:
Jennifer Dulski ’93 (PCCW Member), MBA ‘99 Founder and CEO Rising Team
Jennifer Dulski has 20+ years of executive experience including leadership roles at Facebook, Google, Yahoo!, and Change.org. She is currently CEO and founder of Rising Team, a team development platform that improves employee engagement and scales talent development with software that equips managers to run deeply connecting, interactive team sessions without an outside facilitator. Her lifelong passion is empowering people to reach their full potential. From a very early age she was focused on bringing out the best in others, from her time as a crew coxswain to teaching high school and founding a Breakthrough program to help motivated students become first generation college graduates. In addition to her role at Rising Team, she currently teaches leadership & management at Stanford Graduate School of Business, serves as the Lead Independent Director on the board of Arcadia, and writes about leadership and the future of work for Fortune and LinkedIn Influencers. Dulski’s first book, Purposeful, about how each of us can be movement starters, is a Wall Street Journal Bestseller.

Session 1—Building Wealth and Your Legacy
How do women engage with wealth creation and management to build their legacy? In this session, we will discuss how to learn about, participate in, and access the financial market as important wealth-building tool and opportunity for long-term financial security. Further, expert panelists will share how to protect assets and build long-term financial plans through tax and estate planning strategies while considering a legacy for future generations.

Session 2– Freedom of Creative Expression and Its Impact on Society
Artistic freedom has a strong ability to drive social change. Creative expression drives change by challenging the status quo, raising awareness, promoting diversity and inclusion, and more.
Employing a panel discussion format, we will explore how creatives have a huge opportunity to make change through their artistic expression. Discussion will revolve around how artists use their creative expression to foster positive change, the challenges they face in doing so, and why creative expression plays a vital role in our future.

Over 90% of women c-suite executives played sports when they were young and over 50% played sports in college. What can these athletes teach us – sportsmanship, leadership, competitiveness? They win, fail, innovate and lead. How can these lessons be applied to business? Come learn from the some of the most distinguished women in sports.

Featuring: Jenny Yang ’92, Deputy Director of the Domestic Policy Council for Racial Justice and Equity, Former Chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Former Director of the Federal Contracts Compliance Programs, U.S. Department of Labor, PCCW Sustaining Member.
Jenny R. Yang serves as a Deputy Assistant to the President for Racial Justice and Equity at the White House Domestic Policy Council. Prior to that she served as the director of the Office of Federal Contracts Compliance Programs, U.S. Department of Labor. In the Obama-Biden Administration, Jenny served as Chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. A graduate of Cornell University, she earned a B.A. in Government and a J.D. from NYU School of Law.
Following dinner: Members are invited to continue to connect with one another in the hotel restaurant/bar, Apropoes. The restaurant is open Monday-Thursday from 3pm – 12am. Members are also invited to take a brief walk to The Elk Room at 1010 Fleet Street (2 minute walk from the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront) for an informal after hours

The Enoch Pratt Free Library is one of the oldest public free libraries in the country, opening in 1886. Enoch Pratt is attributed to have said “My library shall be for all, rich and poor without distinction of race or color, who, when properly accredited, can take out the books if they will handle them carefully and return them.”

On this Rock: Why Democracies Need Libraries.
In a time of intense political polarization, libraries in every state are facing an unprecedented number of attempts to ban books. Yet the Pew Charitable Trust has documented that Americans have consistently put their trust in libraries more than other institutions. Carl A. Kroch University Librarian Elaine Westbrooks will discuss how research libraries promote and sustain democratic activities by highlighting the role Cornell’s librarians play in providing citizenship education, stewarding facts, and building pluralistic and diverse communities—activities that fundamentally make our democracy more secure and stable for future generations. *Additional tours may be included as planned.

The hotel offers unparalleled access to Fells Point, the National Aquarium, and the variety of restaurants and shops at the Inner Harbor. All conference activities take place at the hotel.
The conference room rate for a single/double room is $209 per night for your selected dates between February 21-26, 2024. Book your stay by January 31, 2024, to receive our discounted rate.
