Stephen H. Weiss '57 died on Wednesday, April 16, at age 72. A beloved leader and benefactor, Weiss served as a presidential councillor as well as a board-elected member of the Cornell Board of Trustees for 24 years, including 8 as chair.

His leadership was characterized by extraordinarily high standards and intellect, a devotion to supporting excellence in research and teaching, and a generosity of spirit that brought out the best in everyone.
