Sheryl Hilliard Tucker is the executive editor of Time Inc. In this role she works closely with Time Inc.'s editor-in-chief, helping to oversee the editorial content of approximately 125 magazines such as TIME, FORTUNE, People, In Style, Sports Illustrated, Essence, and Real Simple.

Cornell Service

Tucker was elected by the alumni to her position on the Cornell University Board of Trustees in 2010. As a member of the board, she serves on the Committee on Alumni Affairs. She is also a member of the Cornell University Council, a member of the class council for the Class of 1978, and a member and past vice-chair of the President's Council of Cornell Women.

Professional Career

Previously, Tucker was an editor-at-large for Time Inc and editor-in-chief and vice president at Black Enterprise. She has edited several books, including Prime Time: African American Women's Guide to Midlife Health and Wellness. Tucker is co-author of the recently published book Tomorrow Begins Today: African American Women as We Age.

She is married to Roger Tucker, an artist and art educator. They have two daughters and reside in New York City.
