Dr. Gene Resnick is the chief medical officer for Averion International Corporation, a leading international clinical contract research organization with proven expertise in supporting global clinical trials and regulatory approval for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies.

Cornell Service

Dr. Resnick was elected by the alumni to his position on the Cornell University Board of Trustees in 2010. As a member of the board, he serves on the Committee on Alumni Affairs. He is also a member of the Cornell University Council, a member of the Life Sciences Advisory Board, and a member and past president of the Weill Cornell Medical College Alumni Association. He received a CALS Outstanding Alumni Award in 2009.

Professional Career

Dr. Resnick founded Millennix Oncology, one of Averion International's predecessor companies, and previously was clinical assistant attending physician at the New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Resnick's professional involvements include membership in the American College of Physicians, the American Federation for Clinical Research, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Resnick is a diplomat for medical oncology and internal medicine with the American Board of Internal Medicine.

He resides with his spouse, Susan, in White Plains, New York. Their two sons are both graduates of Cornell's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
