Description:
Mann Library will celebrate the 200th
anniversary of Darwin's birth by
focusing on his impact on the study of
life on earth. This multimedia
program explores Darwin's
observations of human expression and
celebrates our hominid past with
photographic views of sculptures by
paleoartist John Gurche and in a talk
by Warren Allmon, director of Ithaca's
Museum of the Earth at the
Paleontological Research Institution
and Cornell professor of paleontology,
that reveals what rocks have to tell
us about nature's evolving complexity
