AA 2 - Learning Strategies Center 
The Learning
Strategies Center is Cornell's central
academic support unit. Each year the
Learning Strategies Center helps
more
than 2,000 Cornell students maximize
their academic potential. Our
supplemental courses, free tutoring,
study skills course and workshop, and
reading, writing, and statistics labs
help
students develop effective strategies
to
excel in their rigorous Cornell course
work.
B- Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering 
Project teams offer students a range of
experiences and opportunities that we
believe will be useful in life after
college. Founded in spring 2003, the
Cornell University Solar Decathlon team
is a student-run, interdisciplinary
organization made up of over 100
students from six colleges, plus graduate
students from the architecture,
engineering, and business schools. The
Solar Decathlon Competition is an
International competition among 20
university and college teams to research,
design, fund, and construct solar-
powered homes and transport them to
the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
The Cornell 100+ MPG Team is an
engineering project group whose goal is
to compete in and win the Progressive
Insurance Automotive X-Prize
Competition. We are also striving to help
develop a new form of automobile that
will reduce global nonrenewable power
consumption and harmful emissions.
BAA 1- Student Disability Services 
The Office of Student Disability Services
(SDS) is responsible for providing
federally mandated support services for
students with disabilities. We work in
partnership with the Cornell community
to address the access needs of students
with physical, learning, medical, sensory,
or psychological disabilities that
substantially affect a major life activity
(e.g., walking, communicating, learning,
seeing, or breathing).
BB- Computing and Information Science 
Cornell has been a pioneer in computing
education and research since 1965 and is
among the handful of universities who
created the science base and the
computational mode of thinking behind
this field. The Faculty of Computing and
Information Science is a college-like unit
of 65 professors and researchers
comprising Computer Science,
Information Science, Statistics, and
Graphics. CIS is the product of
interdisciplinary collaboration on campus

Understanding the Earth's systems is
essential to the prosperity and future
of society. Our graduates, past and
future, are leaders in the application
of Earth sciences to the betterment
of life, in setting public policy, in
education of an Earth-savvy public,
and in better understanding the
Earth system. We welcome alumni

on exhibits feature a tornado in a
bottle, minerals and fossils, and a
seismograph to demonstrate how
seismic waves generated by

As the intellectual, cultural, and social

I-Department of Education 
The Department of Education traces its
roots at Cornell back to 1888, when the
university offered its first courses in
education. The department, now housed
in the College of Agriculture and Life
Sciences, continues to serve a unique

into a wide range of resources within the
university and cultivating strong

NN-School of Hotel Administration 
Since 1922, the School of Hotel
Administration at Cornell has been a
leader in hospitality education. It is
recognized worldwide as a positive
role model, and its 12,000 alumni
form a loyal and close bond with the

established around the world. The

The Cayuga Society was announced in
October 1993 to honor those who have

The Cornell Railroad Historical
Society (CRHS) was founded in 1977
with roots dating back more than 50
years to a period when rail travel was
the way Cornell students traveled to
and from Ithaca. The CRHS has also

Railway Historical Society (NRHS)
since 1981. We have members from
all walks of life: students, staff,
alumni, and community members, all
with deep interest in railroads,

From its initial location in Bailey Hall
in 1880 to its current home in
Stocking Hall (since 1923), the Cornell
Dairy has supplied the Ithaca campus
with
high-quality dairy products from fluid
milk to ice cream and yogurt. All of
our first-class dairy products are
manufactured from milk produced at
the Cornell Dairy Farm in nearby
Harford, N.Y. Along with fluid milk
products (don't forget to try our
premium chocolate milk), yogurt, and
