Greetings to all North Texas Cornellians, parents of current Cornell students, and friends

Another academic year is well under way "far above Cayuga’s waters." As you reflect on the four years you spent in Ithaca, don’t forget to join us at some of the alumni events planned for the upcoming year. Look at is as a time to renew, refresh, or make new friends.

There are many ways for you to contribute -- this year think about getting involved with Cornell’s most ambitious project yet, The Campaign for Cornell, which plans to raise over $4 billion. As of October, the fund has approached the 1,721.4 million mark. For more information go to The Campaign for Cornell.

How about encouraging high school students to consider Cornell for college? We all have a story to tell. To tell yours, go to Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network to become an admissions ambassador.

And if you decide to take it easy this year, then join us for one of the fun activities planned for you right here in North Texas. Go to CAANT Events to join in the local festivities.

As my final year as president of CAANT approaches I can’t help but be grateful at the many doors Cornell has continued to open up for me in North Texas these past six and a half years. Rest assured you all played a part.

Very Truly Yours,

Theresa A. Flores, A&S '93

Please consider becoming a dues paying member of CAANT. Member benefits include reduced prices to activities with a fee, and several "members only" special events...just to name a few. In a few months, you will receive a mailing with an activities calendar and membership application form. We encourage you to join and become an active member of YOUR Alumni Association. What better way to keep the memories of Cornell alive than to get involved with other Alumni and friends.

At last count, there were over 1000 Alumni in the North Texas area, and even though we're a long way from Ithaca, the Big Red spirit is alive and well! Won't you please join us at an upcoming event and consider becoming a dues paying member!
