networking event. Open up to general
networking, but “a special emphasis will be placed on Biotech, pharmaceutical,
etc…”

like November 22nd is the date that works for Kenneth Myers.)

Hockey weekend event.
If Cornell
plays nearby, let’s have a group go watch a game.
- January
2010: Cornell Cares Day. Irene will contact Matthew Carmona to ask about.
- January
2010: North American International Auto Show (and Lunch beforehand)
- Special
event with the club. People must
RSVP ahead of time, so we don’t end up with as many unused tickets. Trevor is taking the lead on this.

Networking event / spotlight on business.
- Pick
a successful Michigan business and ask them to sponsor an event or offer
a company tour (that would be family friendly).

before ordering the tickets.
(Update: Saturday, March 6,
2010. The concert includes “The

Variations” by Elgar, with Sir Neville Mariner
conducting and Christopher Plummer narrating.)

should be back up and running after last year’s hiatus. Shannon will take the lead.
******
We should try to have event plans made by July 15th so we can get
our annual newsletter out early!!! ********** (O.K.
Let’s aim for July 22nd at this point.)
Discussion
- How
can things be organized more efficiently?
- Social
networking sites. Cornell has
favored facebook. Should we do the same?
- TJ
will take the lead.
- Encourage
people to sign up for the ____@cornell.edu addresses.
- Next
meeting: September 20th Papa Vino’s Northville (as long as it doesn’t conflict with
the date for the Lark event.)
