Scholarship Development
Cornell University is committed to keeping its doors open to the nation's best students through scholarship assistance.
- More than 70 percent of Cornell's undergraduates receive some form of financial aid.
- Last year Cornell awarded more than $50 million in scholarship grants and loans.
- The average scholarship grant was $11,500, more than double the grant offered ten years ago.
- Government support for undergraduate financial aid has remained flat or declined in recent years.
The more than sixty-five Cornell Clubs and Alumni Associations make a significant difference in the lives of hundreds of current students. Just last year, they:
- Hosted scholarship fund-raising events in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Eastern Florida, Kansas City, Wisconsin, and many other areas.
- Raised over $191,000 in new scholarship gifts.
- Provided financial assistance to 200 students totaling $312,000.
