Its time again…for the 3rd Annual

ALL-IVY 5K RUN/WALK - 2001

Ivy Leaguers, the time has come to announce the date and time of the All-Ivy 5K Run/Walk. Jot it down in your Franklin Planners. Enter it in your Palm Pilot. Save it to your Microsoft Outlook tool. Tell your significant other so s/he doesn’t schedule you for an obviously less exciting social event. Whatever it takes to get you to remember this important date/time:

June 17, 2001
Washington Park
9:00 a.m.

Participation doubled from the previous year. Let’s do it again!! Drag your friends and family to join this terrific event. The prestigious “MOST PARTICIPATION” award is bestowed upon the university with the most walkers and runners on race day and it’s up for grabs.

The ALL IVY 5K RUN/WALK- 2001 will be a sub-event of the “Run for a Child’s Sake” 5K. Proceeds benefit the Children’s Hospital Foundation. All runners can sign up for the “Run for a Child’s Sake” by visiting:

Boulder Running Co (Our loyal sponsor):
Boulder (Pearl Street)
Littleton (Wadsworth and Bowles)

Or

Runners Roost:
Boulder (Pearl Street),
Aurora (South Parker Road),
Denver (Colorado Blvd)
Littleton (County Line Road)

Contact me once you have registered. I can be reached at 303-282-2080 (work), 303-584-9044 (home). Please include your name, school and event (run or walk). All pre-registrants will be guaranteed an “ALL-IVY RUN/WALK – 2001” T-shirt. It’s a collectors item!

A separate check-in is required on race day. Ivy Leaguers must stop by our separate Ivy League registration table. It is there where participants can pick up their IVY LEAGUE T-shirts. The table will be just off to the side of the main event’s registration table.

The awards ceremony/picnic/party will be held after the race in Washington Park (close to the finish line). This is an excellent opportunity to discuss alma maters, mascots, school colors and bask in the Denver sunshine.

Course description:

The 5K (3.1 miles) will start and finish by the small “lake” at the South end of the park. The course is approximately 1 _ times around the inside of Washington Park. Water station will be available on the course at the half-way point. If you require additional water, it is suggested that you bring your own. Any questions about the “Run for a Child’s Sake” can be answered by BKB at www.BKBLtd.com. All Ivy League race questions should be directed to me. Look forward to seeing new faces there (including the newlyweds!!)
