Fall 2009

Dear Cornell Alumni, Students, Parents, and Friends,

Welcome to a new year with the Cornell Club of Northern New Jersey! The Club’s officers and Board of Governors have developed a wonderful program of activities for this upcoming year. Please look through the attached calendar and join us as often as possible! We have tried to include something for everyone, and we are always open to new ideas, so please let us know if you have a suggestion for a new event or activity. Be sure to check out the Club’s website (www.alumni.cornell.edu/orgs/clubs/ccnnj/) and watch for Club e-mails regarding other events being planned throughout the year.

Our primary goal is to keep Cornellians connected. One of the best ways to connect with local Cornellians is to become a Club member (see the attached membership form). In addition to meeting fellow Cornellians at local events and meetings, I encourage you to stay connected electronically through Cornell’s website (www.cornell.edu), the University’s various Facebook pages, and now even on Twitter (one frontier I have yet to venture into).

Answering President Skorton’s call to become more eco-friendly, the Club is reducing the amount of paper mail it generates. Please help us in this endeavor by making sure both the Club and Cornell have your most up-to-date e-mail address. In the future, our announcements, including this annual newsletter, will be distributed almost exclusively through electronic means.

On behalf of the Club’s officers and the Board of Governors, we hope you will enjoy our events and continue to stay connected. We always welcome new volunteers to assist with events or serve as Club officers, so please feel free to contact any of the current officers for more information. As President, I welcome your feedback and suggestions on how we can improve the Club.

Thank you for your continuing support of the Club and its events.

Best regards,

Christine Watters Stuhlmiller ‘93

Club President
