General Announcements

Update from CAAAN

The February 22nd deadline for filing reports online has come and gone and the final tally is 219 reports filed for 293 applicants which is a success rate of just a hair under 75%; its good, meaning better than the university average of about 60% but off the mark of our highest years when we exceeded 90%.

There were 36 volunteers who each had a 100% perfect record ranging from 2 for 2 to a high of 10 for 10. There were 6 volunteers who only missed one report, one of whom was 8 for 9 and most of the others were 3 for 4.  The bad news is that there were seven volunteers who were given assignments and were zeros, 0 for 22 in total.

If you know of any alums who would like to volunteer for next season, please have then contact me. We need some more volunteers like Dr. Debra Venner 10/10, Amy & Cliff Strat together 15/15, Susan Kalus 8/8, or Dr. Howard and Susan Schub together 9/9, just to name a few of the top 100%ers.

We also will have our annual "Student Send-Off" which will be at our home on a Sunday in early to mid August t/b/a.

Cornell Hockey vs. Harvard

We had a total of 30 people watch the Cornell vs. Harvard hockey game last Saturday night (23 Cornell, 7 Harvard).  Unfortunately Harvard won the game 4-2, but the Cornell fans at Famous Sports Pub won the cheering battle and everyone had a good time.
