Online registration will be available in late March! Register
online at www.alumni.cornell.edu/reunion, or fill out the
enclosed class registration form and return it with your payment
in the envelope provided. Please note that childcare
and athletic programs require separate registration forms
and payments.
The class registration fee for the weekend is $195 per adult
and covers all class events and meals (except for Thursday
night’s ‘Sunset over Cayuga’ dinner at the Johnson
Museum). In addition, the fee covers beverages and snacks
in our class headquarters, most university events, on-campus
shuttle buses, class souvenirs, and the university’s Friday and
Saturday night tent parties.
If you plan to arrive after 9:00 p.m. on Friday and stay for
the rest of the weekend, the class registration fee is $155 and
covers everything mentioned above for Saturday and
Sunday. For Saturday day-trippers, the fee is $75, which
covers the Arts Quad ‘Fun in the Sun’ picnic lunch, the ’80s
Beach Party dinner on Beebe Lake, and a class souvenir.
Children’s registration fees are listed on the registration
form. Please note that none of the fees for adults or children
include university housing.
Plan ahead and register early! Fees increase if your registration
is postmarked or completed online after May 12. If you
need to cancel your registration, you must do so in writing
before May 27 to receive a full refund.

We will be reliving the old days by staying on North
Campus in Low Rises 9 and 10. Housing fees are $42 per
adult per night or $100 per adult for the entire weekend
(Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights). For children 12 and
under sleeping in a bed, the fee is $23 per night or $46 for
the entire weekend. There is no charge if you bring a portable
crib or sleeping bag for children to use in your room.
Rooms come equipped with bed linens, bath towels, washcloths,
soap, water glasses, and clothes hangers. A daily
towel exchange is available. However, these are still dorms,
and there is no maid service. Pets (other than guide dogs)
are not permitted. Also, smoking is not permitted in the
dorms. We cannot reserve specific rooms in advance; assignments
will be made on a first-in-Ithaca basis. You may ask to
room near someone when you check
in, and Campus Life will do their
best to accommodate your request.
Checkout is on Sunday at noon
sharp. Cornell strives to ensure
that the campus is accessible to all.
Be sure to list any special housing
needs on your registration form.
Special vans that can accommodate
mobility needs will be
available throughout the weekend.
Hotel rooms in Ithaca are limited
during Reunion weekend. We have
a small block of rooms available
for ’90 classmates at the Comfort Inn (607-272-0100) and
Econo Lodge (607-257-1400). Please call directly. Reservations
are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Cornell Information Technologies is now offering the use
of broadband Internet service in the dorm rooms. There
is no fee associated with this service. Before you arrive on
campus, please make sure that your computer system has
the latest system updates installed and that your anti-virus
definitions are up to date. An Ethernet cable as well as
further information concerning the connection process and
risks associated with connecting to the campus network will
be provided after you arrive.

Reunion offers fun for all ages. All class events are casual
and kid-friendly. In addition, we have a family friendly ‘Fun
in the Sun’ event planned for Saturday afternoon (jointly
planned for the classes of ’80, ’85, and ’90), which will
include face painting, water balloons, and all-you-can-eat
ice cream. Many families find they may have more fun if
they take advantage of the two separate programs that the
university has arranged for children of alumni attending
Reunion. For children 6 to 15, there is a university Youth
Program. For children 12 weeks to 10 years, evening-only
childcare is available at Ithaca Community Childcare
Center (IC3). Both of these programs fill quickly and have
received wonderful reviews from parents. You must preregister
using the enclosed, separate Youth Program and
IC3 forms; the deadline is May 27. If you choose to bring
a babysitter, she/he can register for the entire weekend for
$90. This fee covers most meals and class activities. It does
not include housing or tent parties. The university requires
that the babysitter be 16 years of age or older.
The university and our class are not allowed to make
individual babysitter referrals, but we have learned that the
American Red Cross maintains a list of babysitters in the
Ithaca area who have completed their training program. If
you are interested in this option, you can contact the Red
Cross at 607-273-1900 (ext. 14). Our class has not investigated
this service or the suitability of any sitters. As such,
parents are advised to take every precaution for the safety
of their children.
The university is very strict about parental responsibility.
Children under 16 must be supervised at all times. In
addition, no one under the age of 21, including babies, is
allowed into the Arts Quad tents in the evenings.
If you are bringing children, you must sign a CHILDREN’S
WAIVER, regardless of whether you are using the
university-sponsored Youth Program/IC3, bringing your
own babysitter, or doing it all on your own. The waiver is
enclosed in this packet and must be returned with your
registration materials.

Discounted airfares and car rentals are available to the
Class of 1990 from TeleTravel by calling 888-283-5387.
In addition, the university has posted a Reunion
Rideshare Board on its Reunion 2005 website at
www.alumni.cornell.edu/reunion. If you are looking for a
ride to and from Ithaca, or have room in your vehicle and
want to accept some additional passengers, log on and post
a request or offer a ride – just like the ride board in Willard
Straight Hall!
