Mission

Renee Alexander, DirectorCornell Mosaic is the University’s alumni-driven diversity initiative, which seeks to celebrate diversity and advance inclusion by creating high-quality programming designed to engage alumni of color.

The Minority Alumni Initiatives Implementation Committee (MAIIC) provides leadership guidance and oversight to Cornell Mosaic, and is comprised of alumni with a record of service to the University.  MAIIC meets three times a year in New York City. Committee members serve a two-year cycle, and contribute their energy, ideas and creativity.

The Office of Minority Alumni Programs (MAP) seeks to engage diverse alumni in the life, work and aspirations of the University, with a focus on developing volunteers to serve Cornell and move into positions of alumni leadership.  MAP provides support to the following affinity groups:  Cornell Asian Alumni Association (CAAA), Cornell Black Alumni Association (CBAA), Cornell Korean Alumni Association (CKAA), Cornell Latino Alumni Association (CLAA), Cornell Native American Alumni Association (CNAAA) and Cornell Gay and Lesbian Association (CUGULA).  MAP is responsible for overseeing the Cornell Mosaic initiative and provides leadership to MAIIC.  MAP works closely with Cornell regional offices, class and reunion programs, and the Development team to deliver programming and services to Cornell’s over 18,000 minority alumni base.  In addition, Minority Alumni Programs works directly with a variety of programs and offices, including the Cornell Alumni Student Mentoring Program, OMEA and Student Services.  For additional information, please contact:
