Get Involved: Cornell Giving Societies

Regional Committees

Tower Club Committees exist in many major cities through the United States and Canada. Each Committee is comprised of individuals who support Cornell University financially, and volunteer their time to raise additional dollars for the Cornell Annual Fund. Committee members contact alumni and friends in their region on behalf of Cornell to ask that they consider joining them in their support of the University by making an annual Tower Club gift of $5,000 or more.

Ivy Society Committees partner with our Tower Club Committees and are made up of young alumni who graduated from Cornell within the past ten years and ask other young alumni to consider joining them by making an Ivy Society gift of $250 or more.

Committee members attend Tower Club/Ivy Society Committee meetings and help identify alumni, parents, and friends in their regions who may have the potential and interest in making a Tower Club or Ivy Society level gift to Cornell. Through letters and personal contact, these volunteers then ask three to five alumni or friends to consider joining them in supporting Cornell with a gift at the same level. Committee members receive fundraising training and logistical support from Cornell University staff members, as well as from other committee volunteers. Last year, over 400 Cornellians served as committee members. Their efforts are at the heart of the unrestricted support that Cornell receives each year through the Cornell Annual Fund.

President's Circle Committee

Formed in the fall of 2005, the President's Circle Committee is working to inspire more donors to consider gifts to the Cornell Annual Fund at the $25,000 and above level.
