China, Tibet & the Pandas

Experience the thrill of adventure on this journey through some of China and Tibet's most intriguing and stunning natural scenic areas. Journeying to Beijing, Lhasa, Chengdu, Bifengxia Wildlife Preserve and Shanghai; we will learn of the diversity of China's regional cultures, from the metropolitan and modern to the rural and historic as we step into the traditions of China's natural beauty. Traverse ancient ruins, royal palaces, cultural treasures and natural wonders. Fly deep into the Himalayas to Lhasa, and experience the sacred traditions of Tibet. Often referred to as "Shangri La" or "the Rooftop of the World," Tibet has long captured the imagination of the West. Explore the beauty of Bifengxia Wildlife Preserve on an exploration through the breath taking 25 square mile sanctuary. Observe a variety of animals in their natural habitat, and glimpse into the secret life of panda's with a face-to-face visit and an opportunity for play time, meet with research specialists to learn about conservation and Giant Panda breading efforts. We'll end our journey with a view into the future of China's burgeoning economic exuberance as we venture to the international Expo 2010, in Shanghai.
