2007-2008 Standing Committees

Ways and Means Committee
The Committee shall be responsible for identifying sources of revenue to meet needs of the Federation which are not funded by the University, for assisting the Executive Committee with budgeting and for recommending to the Board disposition of suggested By-Law changes from time to time. Chair: Thomas Mulligan.

Committee on Federation Nominations
The Committee shall present at the January meeting of the Federation Board and whenever requested by the Federation Board, nominations for Directors-from-the-Regions and Directors-At-Large. It shall also, in the odd-numbered years and whenever requested by the Board, present nominations for officers. Chair: Shana Mueller.

Cornell Alumni Magazine Committee
The Committee shall direct the publication of Cornell Alumni Magazine, for its owner, the Cornell Alumni Federation. It is responsible for the publication of the magazine, approval of its budget, and monitoring of its financial management. It is also responsible for hiring and evaluating the performance of the magazine’s editor. Chair: Kevin McEnery.

Committee on Alumni Trustee Nominations
The Committee shall annually solicit names of qualified alumni for consideration and recommend four alumni who best meet the criteria for endorsement as Alumni Trustee candidates. Chair: Jeffery Weaver.

AD HOC COMMITTEES

Communications Committee
The Committee shall be responsible for development of six issues of Alma Matters, the Federation newsletter in Cornell Alumni Magazine, including the identification of themes and the collection and/or writing of stories. Chair: Mary Grainger.

Grant Committee
The Committee shall semi-annually review grant applications, identify those projects to receive funding, and notify applicants of the results of the process. Chair: Howard Sobel.

Committee to Select Frank H. T. Rhodes Exemplary Alumni Service Award Winners
The Committee shall annually solicit nominations for and select up to six recipients of the Frank H. T. Rhodes Exemplary Alumni Service Award. Chair: Rolf Frantz, CAF President.
