Professor Roger Battistella
Little did I think then that the "canons" drummed into us by Roger would in fact be the guiding principles for a career. Thirty years of serving the greater good, providing access to health care services for children, held accountable for quality and effectiveness..it was all there in the start I received in the Sloan Program. Thank you, Roger! Well done.

Professor Douglas Brown
Doug was an anchor to the realities of what we would face in a career in health care administration. His unfailing good spirit is a value that once absorbed proves to be an asset in any situation. Doug, you had a positive impact that continues to this day. Thank you!

"Elymosenary" - How can you ever forget this word? Roger enriched my vocabulary and thinking about the role of charitable giving. Most of my career has remained in the nonprofit sector of the health care field, and hopefully the policies and programs I've been involved with have moved beyond the Dickensian view of charitable giving.

Doug was so committed to assuring that the "Sloanies" got summer internships and a solid start on their careers after graduation. During my summer internship, Doug came and met with me and my preceptor, Sandy Williams (another Sloan alumn). I couldn't believe he would take the personal time to see how my internship was going. That personal touch was memorable and is also part of what makes the Sloan program unique.
