About the Sailing Center
The Merrill Family Sailing Center was made possible through the generosity of the Merrill family and foundation. The late Phil Merrill ’55, his wife, Eleanor Merrill, and their three children—Douglas Merrill ’89, MBA ’91, Catherine Merrill Williams ’91, and Nancy Merrill ’96—made the lead gift to the facility, and we look forward to celebrating their philanthropy and their love of Cornell and sailing.
The Merrill Family Sailing Center is located on Cayuga Lake at 1000 East Shore Drive in Ithaca, NY. The 5466-square-foot facility features two levels, an expansive deck, and ample programmatic space for Cornell's club sailing team, Athletics and Physical Education activities, and academic research.
