We look forward to returning to Boston for the fifth annual meeting of Cornell's volunteer leaders—the 2014 Cornell Alumni Leadership Conference.
This gathering of some 800 Cornell volunteers is a wonderful opportunity to spend three days with other Cornellians from literally around the globe—sharing ideas, best practices, and camaraderie.
I am especially delighted that, in addition to representatives from Cornell’s classes, clubs, regional associations, and diverse alumni associations, we will be joined this year by an even larger number of volunteers affiliated with Cornell’s colleges, schools, and units. We also will welcome several deans, directors, faculty, and students as active participants in this year’s program.
Your efforts, and those of countless other Cornell volunteers, continue to inspire me and the entire Cornell community. Through your engagement and support, you continue to lift Cornell "far above." For that, and much more, we are truly grateful.
If you have any questions about the conference, our staff is ready to help. Please call 607-254-7115 or drop a note to firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to seeing you in January!

About the Cornell Alumni Leadership Conference
CALC is our flagship volunteer event, where leaders spanning dozens of clubs, classes, associations, positions, and geographies come together to communicate, collaborate, brainstorm, and share—all in the name of connecting Cornellians.
The three-day conference features nearly 40 sessions—a mix of faculty and staff presentations, alumni-led discussions, trustee insights, board meetings, networking opportunities, organization-specific programs, and even a little time on the town.
